The Mozartkugel Music Box isn’t actually a box. It’s a sphere.
Made in Germany in a village on the edge of the Black Forest, the Mozartkugel is a modern take on a traditional music box. With a simple turn of an oversized metal rollerskate key, the chimes play Mozart’s “Voi che sapete” (from Marriage of Figaro) using an 18-note mechanism.
Inside a perfect wood sphere, the woodworkers seamlessly embed the chimes inside beautifully crafted beech and walnut wood.
The design was thought up by Adam + Harborth of Siebensachen. In German "seine Siebensachen packen" literally means to pack seven things and leave. It implies that you do not randomly throw things in your suitcase, but carefully choose what you need most.
“It is important that all of the products are made in Germany. Working with the most talented craftsmen who have been making with their hands for generations…we love the mix of emotion and intellect.”
Made of premium quality wood, the music box comes in light beech or dark oak and is finished with a satin wax. The Mozartkugal comes with a large metal ring to rest the music box on, perfect for on a shelf or a mantelpiece.
Materials: premium quality waxed dark oak wood or light beech
