In 2016, Deiji Studios was founded by Juliette Harkness and Emma Nelson in Byron Bay, Australia. The brand consciously manufactures in two small family run factories in China in which all workers are ensured a fair wage, good working conditions and hours, which the brand visits annually. Their linen is softened with natural pumice stones, all waste water is recycled and disposed of in ways that minimize environmental impact, they do not use any harmful dyes in any fabrics, and all scrap fabric is recycled or donated to local craftspeople who use them to weave blankets and rugs.
